Latest additions to the family!
Today I bought two Roborovskis, my first! I have two Winter whites and I thought they were small! I have to admit, I am a little worried about them as I see many stories of them having to be split up as a result of fighting.
Is there anything I can do to discourage them from fighting? They haven't yet, but my Winter Whites were fine at first.

well as long as there is two of everything and they aren't living in a modular unit, they should be fine. i made the mistake of only giving mine one wheel, which they fought over. i bet they are really cute. any pics?

Biggest cage you can get (difficult i know with robos as they are so small most cages aren't suitable). 2 wheels and 2 sleeping areas. Scatter feed them rather than using a bowl.
Other than that there isn't a lot you can do. but if they do fight it doesn't always mean that they automatically need to be separated. Our 2 sisters had 1 massive fight that got it all out of their systems and they have lived happily together ever since.
Good luck with your robos.
Piccies please!

Thanks!
I shall have to buy another wheel and house in that case!
I shall post some pictures next week or so, when I'm back in London.
They are so cute! Kind of shy at the moment.

We don't bother with houses or anything they can have a head on confrontation in and find this helps. Give them very deep bedding and loads of torn tissue to hide under and keep them busy building nests. We also have two wheels and scatter feed. Do half cage cleans to keep the scent and always handle both together, scent rubbing them over each other too. Looking forward to meeting them

robos aren't as bad as WWs when it comes to needing to be split and i think most of them end up staying together forever. if you can get them past 6 months together then my experience is that they'll always be together. the ones i've split have all been split between 4 and 6 months.

Hey everyone,
Just a quick update. They are getting on brilliantly. I put in two wheels and two food bowls and they seem to be enjoying eachothers company. Infact, they both use the same wheel at once, which is really funny to watch. They still get scared when I put my hand into the cage, though.

Welcome to your new arrivals! Do they have names?
You seem to be doing everything right so well done. It is recommended that you don't have any food bowls however and just scatter it on the floor, so that they can't be territorial over it.
Can't wait to see some pics of them!
