Default Thinking on getting a robo.. Need some help.

At my pet store they have two types of robos.. One is regular robos and one is dwarf robos. They both look the same but the regular ones are significantly bigger than the dwarf ones..

I have a cage already and I was wondering if it would be suitable for a robo? The base is about 3 inches tall and then it's wire, but the wire is only 1cm apart. (I measured) I can barley get my finger tip in between the space.

Any other info would be great!

Thanks.

There is only one type of Robo?

You'd need a tank type cage for a Robo really, 1 cm spacing is far too big. Even Winter Whites have been known to escape from these cages.

You're looking at;
Mini Duna
Imac Bingo

I have one robo hamster, id reccomend a 70x40cm cage for one
they are very active
You need a lot of patience with a robo, it has took over 1 year for Pip to trust me, and he still isn't 100%
they are adorable though

Here is my setup for Pip, he is in an Imac Bingo

1cm Bar spacing is not suitable

Were are you from, as that will help with cage suggestions?

One must be labelled incorrectly?

I have no idea what cages you can get out there but I've heard not alot? I think you're best bet is a bin cage of 70x40cm maybe?

lots of petshops give their hamsters different names to make them sound more speical or stuff, ive seen them advertised as rare no-tailed mice, dwarf syrians etc..
There is only one type of robo, and they are dwarfs there are different colours, but a robo is a robo.
a tank style cage is best for them as they can flatten themselves against bars and escape

It's hilarious to me that some people will actually fall for that

Right, I'm officially calling my Dasher an extra large robo then

There is a lot of info in this section on setting up for robos, so have a little look through and if there is anything you can't see the answer for then please ask away
