Update on my boys!!
Would just like to add an update on my two brothers that I had to separate. I did try all the advice re- introducing back to each other but they still had teeth locked and rolling in a ball when they came face to face, so I have decided it was just not to be and they now live in their own cages. I did feel a little guilty at first but seeing how well they are doing I am now sure I made the right decision. They are both thriving and active around the cages, I have given them plenty to do. It does amaze me though that their personalities are so different but one thing they have in common is that they are getting more relaxed at me handling them and even have sat still on my hand a few times!!!!!!

Thats great news. They sound settled now and you will feel much better knowing they are not battling when you are out. Glad to hear they are taming well too

Good news
I know how you feel after separating my winter whites last week. They are both thriving, especially the one being bullied - he's now so confident he's like a different hamster.
I'm sure we've both done the right thing!

I have found the exact same thing, my submissive brother has become much more settled although is still a much quieter character than his brother but they are all different!

My two robo boys had to be seperated too only a few months after coming to me from Morag at Babyboos hamstery. They were rescue hamsters and have lived seperately for over a year now and they are both doing great. Tiny still has hair loss around his bum from when Tubs attacked and bit him, but these are just battle scars that healed and the fur never did grow back properly. Tiny is the tamest (subordinate) but Tubs is still as mad as a hatter!

My two boys seem much happier now they are living apart. My submissive is still a little smaller but they both look healthy and have settled well in their individual tanks.

Glad they both seem happier - it must be a relief for them if they had been living together unhappily. As you and others have said, when we separated our wws they both came into their own and interact much more with us now than they did before. Its a shame cause it is lovely seeing a pair of them together, but I'd rather live alone than with someone I spent all my time fighting with! I'm sure they feel the same
