Default Albino Roborovski

I saw an albino Robo female at a local Petsmart today. Anyone else seen an albino Robo yet? I've been seeing Piebalds with increasing frequency, figured it was only a matter of time til an albino popped up. I wish they'd been around 3 years ago when I was keeping Robos. I love albinos.

The term albino refers to an animal with white fur and red eyes.
I assume you mean platinum robos

They are still very rare in the UK, but member pompompoms and Tammy22 have started lines to try and increase the population.
Piebalds have recently been imported over by Tammy and other breeders also, hopefully it won't be too long before we see these colours being established in the fancy
I can't wait to get my hands on one!

No, she had red eyes, I am certain. I've seen the platinum, husky, and pied, but this one was albino. My first reaction was that she was a different species accidentally put in the Robo cage, but no, she was def. a Robo. Her two other cagemates were pied Robos. I should go get her, hope she's still there.

Hiya if you search through my posts you'll see I've posted a lot of pics of my white robos. Mine are white with black eyes so as fluffymunchkins says not albinos, but you can check to see if they're the same as the ones you saw

I've just seen your reply, interesting! There are red eyes robos, but they are cinamon coloured, at at the moment that is the only colour that has come red eyed. Of course if there are red eyes already then a mutation can of course take place. I'd love to see a pic!

I'm sort of wondering what mine are like... Their eyes are very dark red/brown, I think--but you can only see it when taking a photo--otherwise they look completely black.

The Cloud's were like this too, black black when you looked at him, but there was a ruby like sheen in bright light and some pics. He also had blue rings round the black part as does Whizzbit, and more surprisingly Dasher.

Now that I think about it, the eyes weren't red-red, they were more ruby. It was hard to tell since it was a little dark in the cage.

There's a cinnamon Robo? I'd love to see one.

I sent my husband back to the store to get her while I was at work last night, but she was gone. The other ones were pied. He said he got to hold them, though, and they were really sweet.

You can see a cinamon robo, they're actually chocolate underneath with a creamy caramel rather than cinamon, and the ruby eyes on Tammy's site here.

• View topic - Red Eyed Roborovskis (Cream? / Rust?)

Did the little white one you saw have a little coloured circle on his head like Hamtastic's lovely girls do? I only ask as if the litter was Pied robos, the white with a little caramel cap on is a dilution of the Pied

Lol fluffymunchkins beat me to it!
