Wondering if i would be able to tame a robo dwarf hamster?

I was wondering if i would be able to tame my robo dwarf hamster....Banana Chip. Not sure what gender he/she is.So i only got one for that reason. This was last year when i got her by the way or maybe a bunch of months ago.Anyway any techniques on taming them? When i first got her/him and put my hand in her/his cage she/he climbed onto my hand then..............ran up my arm as i was struggling to catch her/him.........she/he jumped off my shoulder and fell to the ground...running as fast as a mouse!So yeah not really a good experience with my first ever robo. I was frightened that it would happen again from then on...but i want to make a effort to tame him/her. When i do try she/he runs away from my hand,hiding and shaking.

Offer treats, like pieces of a sunflower seed. Don't try to grab her until she's used to your hands being near. (Don't overfeed though, one-two sunflower seeds are plenty, and maybe not every day). Hold your hand in the cage low so your ham gets used to it. Basically slow steps. Robos can be very tricky to tame. I've had two since they were tiny, and they are still very skittish despite my best efforts.

All I can advice is to have a great deal of patience. It can take months to tame them unlike syrians. Not the best pet for stroking and handling, more of an entertainment value

My three are real skittish still, two I think i have no hope of being able to tame as they wont come closer at all. The third however will cautiously take food from my finger tips and/or from the palm of my hand and lets me gently stroke his back while he's distracted and chomping on said food.
