Smile 3 New Editions to my Robo Family

I picked up these 3 little Robos from Suffolk today. They are 6 weeks old females and are in really good health. Sadly their previous owner couldnt afford to keep them any more.

The link below has a coupe more pics and 2 vids of some of my older Robos.

Aww adorable!! Do they have names?

Is it better to keep 2 or 3+ dwarves? Just wondering if perhaps with more hammies there is less likely to be territory issues...?

Because these are siblings and Ive moved them 70 miles, I am just keeping them together so that they can overcome their stress of a move and I can fully check their health before I introduce them to other Robos.

Its very difficult to emphasise on whats the best numbers to keep Dwarves in. I have a couple of Robos which dont like any company at all, I also have several pairings who get on fine with no squabbling whatsoever, A colony of 5 Agouti Robos (mum and 4 girls whom were in terrible condition when i rescued them, so I decided to keep them together) and finally 3 boys together who have the odd scuffle but no major incidents.

I have also had a couple of pairings that have got on fine for over a year and then started fighting so ive had to use the seperating and reintroducing methods.

I'm so glad to hear these are all doing well, I did wonder how they got on after their horrible start. The latest additions are of course absolutely lovely

Wow you seem to have a lot of good luck with multiple hams!

Knowing my luck (both my dwarves, who were kept singularly one after the other, died at the age of 1 ) I'd never be able to keep them in the same cage.

It requires a great deal of patience and the need to act quickly if things start to go wrong. Its very rewarding tho to see a content group of Robos all curled up together.
