Fruit?
How often and how much fruit do you feed a little dwarf?
I've read people say every other day and some people saying basically not at all because of sugar content.
Quite unsure about this one as I've only owned Syrians

Re: Fruit?
I personally think it is best to avoid fruit due to the sugar content and risk of diabetes. They don’t need it and are quite happy with veg, half a walnut, pumpkin seeds etc. I believe as a rare treat, a blueberry is ok eg but personally I wouldn’t give it.

Re: Fruit?
I don't feed my Russian dwarf fruit or carrot even before he tested positive for diabetes. I believe they are best avoided for dwarf hamsters because of the sugar content.

Re: Fruit?
No fruits for dwarfs, especially hybrids.
