Don't you just wish they could talk! Maybe he did just cling on to your sleeve then. The video isn't a good example as it's a Syrian but shows what the do to climb things a bit. As long as it doesn't happen again it's probably just a one off now he has the lid on, but it would be nice to know wouldn't it?

Yes, I just reminded people that Koala wasn't a Syrian. Was a good video though

I just don't want this happening again, disturbing a bit
I'm sure it won't though.

Try not to worry. If the lid is on the bin and there are no holes in it you can find he can't really get out again.

Thank you! I can't worry about hamsters supernaturally escaping their cages on a regular basis, this is not going to happen again. Kind of funny now but it wasn't yesterday

Edit: It's not funny at all but it helps to lighten things up a bit! His feet never hit the ground & I found him within 2-3 minutes! Thank God literally!

yea i know the feeling, this kind of thing happened with me and milo. Same thing he was way to small to get out of the cage, or that's what i thought. Not to mention that he lives on top of a very tall wardrobe type thing and so to find him nowhere in sight was also very alarming. Lucky for you, you found him in 3 minutes, took me like an hour and he was in my closet! so scary. Long story short he had a stern talking to and lid put on right away! lol

It is scary isn't it Glad you found him safe & sound! Did you do anything different to his cage after that? Or was the lid not on?

the lid wasn't on, well the cage i have didn't really come with a lid so i had to make one but boy oh boy it was scary but looking back at it, it can be funny to think of. i mean i found milo cuddled up with a bunch of stuffed animals and if i wasn't so upset with him i would have probably stopped to snap a few photos.
