Re: Koala escaped???
If you look closely in the first pic of his overall bin cage you can see Koala in it. He can barely reach the water bottle to drink out of (it's at the right height though) let alone climb up it, he's so small!
How do you make sense of this?

Re: Koala escaped???
It seems like the most logical possibility, but for now I would just try and keep the lid on and make sure it is entirely secure.
It is very hard to figure things like this out sometimes but eventually you will be able to figure it out hopefully.

What possibility do you think it could be?

Re: Koala escaped???
It must be the tree stump hide. As it is clearly a trampoline. Lol

I won't ever forget this that's for sure! At least I found him and he's not injured!

Re: Koala escaped???
The water bottle does look climbable! It's amazing just how clever they can be when they get an idea into their heads!
I would always keep a lid on, it's just not worth the risk having any kind of cage without one.

Re: Koala escaped???
Guaranteed the lid is staying on! All of their cages! I'm not afraid of ghosts/bad spirits either if there was one? At first I was a little frazzled though!

Re: Koala escaped???
I'm still trying to find Koala in the first photo lol! I reckon it's the water bottle. Is there a large mountain of substrate next to it? Sometimes they build these mountains of substrate to get to the top Seriously though, if they are very determined and can smell tempting food (in the boxes?) he might be able to jump quite high and cling on to the fastener near the base of the bottle and then stretch up to the fastener at the top of the bottle and pull himself up then jump and hang on to the rim of the bin.
He's a little tinker! Either that or he clung onto your sleeve last time you did something in his bin when you weren't looking and has been rummaging around in your apartment for ages lol.

Re: Koala escaped???
Latte climbed up my sleeve this morning again though
The weirdest thing is that I've been sitting here the whole time I was just feeding him treats in his cage? I didn't hear any noises at all other than when he was scratching on the ledge? If he escaped I would have seen him out of the corner of my eye or at least heard something rumbling around in those treat & ball boxes?
