Aaaawe Chiela is starting to show cage agression signs :(
Chiela had got a big cage that was broken when i got it, so i had to put her in a smaller cage while waiting for the delivery of a new cage. (had bought an Alaska cage online in Germany).
I called zoo-plus today, as the delivery has taken a long time and i wanted to know if they could see something (they send me an email on the 29. that the cage was ready to send) about why I haven't got it yet.
The lady told me I should expect the cage in 1 - 2 days.
As for the behaviour of Chiela.
In the big cage she was happy and trusting. No biting.
As being a Campbell I know they can have the tendency to be cage agressiv, and being in a cage that is to small doesn't help.
She has begun to put her paws up and open her mouth (as getting ready to bite me) but until now, i have succeeded to distract what she was going to do with meal worms (long ones ) so she is more interested in the meal worm than she is in biting me.
Will this behaviour stop again when i get the cage?
Or has being in a cage that is to small started a bad behaviour?
Is there anything I can do?
Maybe I should say that she has been in the small cage for about 1 week.

Re: Aaaawe Chiela is starting to show cage agression signs :(
If you're new cage is due to arrive soon I wouldn't worry too much, just carry on as you are, trying to distract her if she appears to be about to bite, maybe don't actually put your hands in the cage any more than you really have to, use a big cup or cardboard tube to take her out of the cage if she'll walk into it & just try handling her out of the cage.
It may take her a while to adjust to a new cage again so give her plenty of time to settle when you do the change, make it as familiar as possible with substrate & all her things from her current cage & she'll probably be fine again soon enough.

Okay thank you Cypher ^^ really glad to hear your opinion.
I was really surprised when she stood up, raised her paws and opened her mouth, as she was getting ready to launch, as I have never seen this behaviour from her, On the contrary.
First i thought i had scared her, but when it happened again a couple of times more
I would be so sad if this was to change her behaviour, as she has been such a kind little campbell ^^ Careful, but always kind and curious.

Aaaawe Cypher you should have seen Chiela this evening
No reason to worry , at least not big worries ^^
Chielas cage came late yesterday evening, so I put it together really fast and put her in her cage.
She was running around "popcorning" checking everything out 2, 3, 4 times digging a bit (really fast) here and there. eating a bit and then she was gone... under the bedding, and I didn't see her again.
I take that as a happy hamster

Me too
She has no time for me at the moment, so busy with all her digging, making tunnels and sleeping.
Hahaha I still haven't seen her since that evening, can see she has been up eating, because she has this habit of digging in the food bowl, so all the food is all over the place
But I guess this is a good thing, leaving her a bit alone like Cypher suggested, although I am dying so see her and talk to her
