I'd like to introduce you all to Willow
I've had her for two weeks now and she's only just sat still for long enough for me to get some good photos (I think she knows when a camera is pointing at her, and avoids being papped)
I got her from Pets at Home and, I can't remember where, I saw that they are always hybrids. I've looked on websites comparing the species, and all of the main differences mentioned describe her as Campbells. She's beige between the brown and white, no thickening of the stripe towards the shoulders etc, so I'm just gonna call her a Campbells.
Although a second opinion would be good- what is the differences in risk of things like diabetes between pure breeds and hybrids?

Re: I'd like to introduce you all to Willow
She is a very pretty hybrid for sure, I'm afraid I can't (or don't know enough) to say if there is any difference between hybrid and purebred risk of diabetes. But she is prone to diabetes. I'll let the more experienced people correct me if I said anything wrong.

Purebred Campbell's are prone to diabetes, but purebred Winter Whites are not. Hybrids inherit their vulnerability from any Campbell's blood that they may have. she's very lovely, congrats on her! You will need to treat her as a hybrid though, a make sure her diet is as low in sugars as possible.

What a lovely face! She really is gorgeous, congrats
She will be a hybrid coming from P@H so yes she will be prone to diabetes but that doesn't mean she will definitely have it so you just need to be a bit more careful over her diet & keep an eye on her general health & weight, hopefully it won't be a problem. Out of four hybrids I haven't had one develop diabetes yet.

She has such a sweet face! I've had 2 hybrids in the past (I thought they were winter whites but reading here, they were most likely hybrids.) and neither of them had problems, they both lived to be around 2.
