Needing help again
Picked up a friend for cooper today. We have two cages that are connected by a tube so if any fights break out they can just have a cage each instead. But so far they've been fine and are asleep in the house together. But I wanted to be 100% sure that they are the same gender so here are the pics

Re: Needing help again
I would actually suggest against levels for a new pair. You need to introduce them on neutral territory. I suggest in a bathtub.
I can't see the pictures super well, it'd be helpful to see more of the stomach. Behind pictures only really work when they're older and the testes have descended (which are on males, lol).
Pairs will get territorial about leveled cages and dwarfs really aren't great at climbing. Plus if you introduce new hammy to Cooper, Cooper will not be too happy there's an intruder in his world. I'm sure some people on the forum have done introductions with hamsters, so I'd try to get some of them to chime in on some good methods.

Re: Needing help again
It's really hard to tell what sex they are from those pictures and unless they are both very young I would caution against automatically putting them together instead of doing a gradual introduction. I would also caution against putting them together right away unless the new hamster comes from a reputable breeder or you are risking infectious illness passing from the new one to the old one.
You might also want to reconsider the cage set-up for introductions as having two separate cages connected by one tube has the potential to start fights if they can't get past each other in the tube or become territorial about "their" cage. I would recommend a slower introduction where you let them get used to each others scent and then introduce them in a neutral area before moving them in together. If you rush it and a fight breaks out it will be much harder to reintroduce them once there has been an injury.

Re: Needing help again
They are young cooper 7 weeks and the other 6 weeks. They were only bought two days apart. Was just because cooper was the only one on sale at the time, the others were through the back until pet shop was satisfied they were all healthy.
They are actually on their backs in the photo will try and get another pic again though. The cage is not levelled. It's all one level so they don't need to climb anywhere, it's just two cages that have been connected together side by side. Cooper was in at temporary cage till we purchased him a friend and they both went in at that same time. They have a good sniff and follower each other around for a bit then snuggled down to sleep. Will be keeping a watchful eye and if any serious fights break out then they'll be separated. I've kept many pairs of dwarfs over the years so know what to look for. It's more just the sexing I don't have a clue on.

Re: Needing help again
Have removed the tube, although I've always kept my dwarfs in this cage and never had a problem before but best to err on the side of caution. There both fast asleep together at the moment. Cooper is very submissive little hamster, we think the new one will be called ozzy and he is bit bolder but they seem to get along fine so far as I said though will keep a close eye and if any fights break out then they can be separated straight away
