I dunno, the pet store owner didn't tell me, he is about 2-3 inches. I just felt bad for him because the other bigger dwarfs were picking on him so I took him.

Usually when they're still at the store they're no more than two months old. Our boys both when first picked up from the breeder didn't show testes. I took another look at the pic and the place the scent gland should be doesn't look like a scent gland so I'm pretty sure your ham is female. I'm sure someone who is better at sexing hams though could tell you.

This ones hard in pic one I see Female without doubt but now the 2nd picture it could be a boy as the hind end looks more like a males rump.

It looks like a girl to me...but, I'm not always right about the dwarfies. I'd wait for some of the folks who breed the dwarf hammies. But I have to say, this thread had me laughing over the glass and your mom. It reminded me of many years ago, my mother hating my gerbils. She used to call them my "rats" (I happen to like rats too  ). Just make sure you wash that glass really well .

And I'. Confused too about the hamster genetics, Tubby is way more easy since he was bigger and a lot more friendly when it comes to being flipped over( he falls asleep on my hand, I kinda cup him and turn him over and voila! )

I am going to agree with DrKMck and say a girl as the last pic you can make out nipples and that's only a girl thing. Was she in with other dwarfs at the pet store?
If so her nipping could be a sign of pregnancy. Course if she only did so in her cage then I'd suspect like DrkMck little ones they just like to guard the homestead.
Wash that glass really well so Mom doesn't get upset at you again
