I just got my first dwarf hammy He is 9 weeks old, tiny and cute. I think he might be hybrid not sure, once I post a pic up, I need help to identify colour. He was classified as a Russian dwarf, got him at my local petsmart

Aww, he's gorgeous! Looks very much like my Dusty (I've attached a picture of her) You're right, he's most likely a hybrid if he's from a pet store.

Do you think he may be WW hybrid, someone told me he might not be Russian but that's what he was classified under ?

He's most likely a hybrid between a WW and Campbells but it looks to me as if he has stronger WW genes than Campbell genes. So I suppose you could call him a WW hybrid

just thought I ask because he seemed very different when he was next to the other 2 Russian dwarfs, he was very different coat/colour wise its why I ended up taking him
