Default two very different personalities...

Thanks, so much for replying to my last thread, you people are great just got another question for now which is probably too early to ask but it's worrying me.

One of my new hamsters (the much smaller one) seems curious, fairly friendly and will already take food from my hand, she's basically a sweetheart. However the other one hisses all the time and seems to make the other one more nervous. I mean, I just went in there to check the water and was nowhere near her and she repeatedly hissed at me, even though I wasn't even in the tank.

I don't want to jeapordise the steps I've made with the more friendly one (and we've had them nearly a week, so probably too early to be asking this) but would it be worth separating them in a couple of weeks if this continues? That way, they can both be tamed at the rate they're each comfortable with. I don't want the one with the sweeter nature becoming skittish and nervy because her sister obviously doesn't tolerate half as much interaction. Would they both cope being split up if this ends up happening?
