I was going to get dwarfs but pet store didn't have much color variety so instead I got two fancy mice lol your baby is a cutie!

I've had mice for years and I adore them. Such sweethearts. I don't really get them from many pet stores anymore due to the amount of health and temperament issues I've experienced from them, but every six months or so I'll go through and pick up a male so I have one around at all times. :P It's hard to get away from them after you're attached!

No one near me breeds hamsters so I kind of wanted to look into breeding sometime in my future and breed one pair of hamsters. I adore the pink little babies and I am aware of first time mama might eat her babies and gotta take daddy out. Just in the future is when I might actually get into it but atm I am good with my baby girl hammy (Alenna) and my two boy mice (Ruburt and Tibbers)

Gorgeous little one you have there! Like the glass tank you have too with the front opening doors! I`ve never seen one of those before, do you know the brand name?

I also agree that sunflower seeds are a beneficial part of a hamsters diet as they have vitamin E. A few added to her daily diet is fine. It`s the yellow corn/maize I would remove as corn contains a natural starch which turns to glucose, so you could just pick the yellow corn and flakes maize out and replace it with something as simple as....plain dry porridge oats!

Oats are loved by hamsters and although they contain beta-gluten, it is not the same type of gluten found in other foodstuffs. It`s a complex carbohydrate and a very good fibre source. Just add a small half spoonful to her mix each day or as necessary. She will really enjoy them. Just be sure they are plain porridge oats and not flavoured or the microwave types.
