Re: Charlotte!
She only nips when I try to get her out of the cage. She doesn't nip at all outside of it. I have been scooping her up with her hut. When I try to scoop with my hands or lay my hand in the cage she takes a chunk out of my finger! Its a shame because she really is a sweet hamster most of the time. This is new to me because all my other dwarfs have always been snuggly and kind. She is the first dwarf that has bitten me.

Re: Charlotte!
Sounds like a territorial thing/cage aggression. Should be able to tame her out of it. She is beautiful!

Re: Charlotte!
That is called cage rage. I had a dwarf with bad cage rage. Basically it's being over protective of there home.
Mine mellowed as she got older, she was not so bothered about my hands being in her space after a while. I guess she just come to realise I meant no harm. It seem's to happen more when the hamster has not been handled much

Re: Charlotte!
Yeah the owner was selling her because of the aggression. They bought it for their daughter but I think she just got forgotten and was not handled like she should have been.
