Sleeping patterns
Not sure if this applies to all breeds of hamsters but asking specifically for the RC dwarf hamsters, how long do your hamsters sleep for and when do they usually wake up? Also, what were your hamsters sleeping patterns like when you first got it?

Re: Sleeping patterns
I've had my 2 babies for less than a week, they're getting more active now (awake 10pm-7am~) but for the first couple of days they didn't really come out much. They're also awake intermittently during the day for food and water ^^

Re: Sleeping patterns
When i first got Nibbles he usually went to sleep at around 2pm and woke up around 1am which is slightly strange. Now he goes to sleep at 7am and wakes up at 10pm so he is a lazy hammy. Honeydo's sleeps pretty much goes to sleep at 9 in the morning and wakes up around 8pm.

Re: Sleeping patterns
Think she's only asking about Russian Dwarves, Nat.
Oscar wakes up at about 10pm and starts running on his wheel and foraging for food, sometimes he'll still be up when I wake up at 7 or 8am.

Re: Sleeping patterns
Yeah I was asking about dwarfs but that's okay.
I just feel like mine sleeps a lot, but then again it hasn't even been a week since I've had it so I'm sure it's probably still trying to get into a routine!

Re: Sleeping patterns
Yeah I wouldn't worry, it seems like my two sleep FOREVER. But I think it's because I'm pretty much only awake at the same time for 3/4 hours =P
