Default My new pair of dwarfs =]

So as I'm new to the forum I figure I should probably post up a couple of pics of my new babies (only got them on Thursday evening from P@H).
I've been told they're females and so have been named Vera and Nellie, but the guy actually serving/assisting me forgot which cage was female and which was male *sigh*
I'll get the vet to check when I take them in for their appointment in a month...
But anywho! On with the pics =D The one with the slightly darker dorsal stripe is Vera, she's also pretty tiny compared to Nellie.

Nellie!
(this pic is showing up HUGE in the preview post despite only being 320x480...hopefully sorts itself out when I post)

Nellie!

Vera!

Vera!
While I'm here, anyone can hazard a guess at approx. age? And also whether you think they're hybrids, in which case I'll move the post. (I'm aware that coming from P@H they're probably hybrid to SOME degree, but just curious)

Hiya and welcome to the forum

gourgous hamsters im sure someone will be able to tell you about species.

What cage are they in, as pets at home seem notorious for selling small cages. ?

Very cute hams! I love orange hams myself They look like mostly (if not entirely) Campbells (colors, fur length, shape).

Those look like Mini Dunas, Dan, which should be okay for them for now.

Hamtastic is right, they're in a mini duna for now. It was the best value for money in P@H since it was bundled with everything... But they're only in it till the end of the month then they're being moved to my lovely homemade bin cage ^^

Yeah I was thinking they looked mostly Campbell hence I stuck it in here...The mini duna should be ok until I move back to Exeter in a month and they can have a 62L bin cage right? Nothing bigger will fit in my room at home so this is their holiday home xD

They are cute. They look more Campbells than Winter White but yeah, most likely hybrids being from P@H.

Yeah, the Duna is okay for now. I'm sure they'll love the bin cage though.

AWH! They're so sweet!!! I've got a thing for red eyed hamsters.

Keep an eye on them they're so adorable they may get hamnapped. Hows the bin cage coming along?
