DIY Wodent Wheel Design Wheel

Hey guys,

I made a 12" Woodent Wheel-type wheel for Magellan out of a tortilla warmer, a chair wheel I had sitting around and some nuts and bolts and wires. Here's a pic --> Maggie_s_Wheel - Hamster Central Photo Gallery I had to fix it up in Photoshop because my phone camera, the only camera I have, is pretty much rubbish.

Anyway, I went to make a video of it for anyone interested and things went haywire (with the video making). I'd love to hear what questions you guys have about my process so I could make a step-by-step on instructables or some-such site for people. I've never done such a thing and it would help me know what is common sense and what needs explaining.

Thank you Strawberrysmom! I did do a series of videos, but the sound goes weird on some of them and the ones I took from my cell are soundless and dark/grainy. I'll put together a video, but I can't promise anything on the quality.

That is really neat! I would love to get a Wodent Wheel for Bailey, but every single time I go to their site, they are out of stock. All the other sites sell them for an arm and a leg!

Thanks Pinga! And Thanks again Strawberrysmom. Yes, it is very silent so far. I have Maggie's bin in my bedroom and am a light sleeper. Compiling video now. I'll post it on youtube I suppose, but It certainly isn't a professional video. But thanks!

What a great wheel, it reminds me of a wheel from the 1960s/70's (even though there were no wheels like that back in the olden days. It has a groovyfied retro feel to it though.
