Anyone know how to keep plastic balls from going cloudy?

Brownie absolutely loves her clear plastic ball but I notice that it seems to be slowly getting yellower or foggier and I'm afraid that her vision is getting more obscured. She has never peed in it so I don't know what could be causing this, unless it's just general wear and tear from rolling around on the floors!

Does anyone have any idea what's causing this or tips for keeping the plastic clear?

Mine does this too.... I think it's dust or something but I put it under the tap and leave it to dry and then it's gone

simple missy...give it a clean!!! Hamsters are near blind anyway so wouldnt make much diff lol xxx

Lol, I feel silly now! It did turn out to be mostly dust and just washed off. C'mon, I'm not the domestic type, I'm not trained to recognize dust It is pretty scratched though. It's probably not cost effective to have it coated with that anti-scratch coating you can get for eye glasses. I'll just have to buy a new ball when it gets too bad!
