Default Excess sealant on wood

I have a dig box that comes flat pack so you have to seal it. The problem is there is excess sealant on the bottom of it now and I do not know how to get it off. I am going to put it on stilts so I imagine a hamster will be tempted to chew this off from underneath. Has anybody found a way to remove this excess sealant? It is an aquarium sealant.
