Re: three DIY toys to make at home
you could try the poster tube toy with a pringles type tube, if you don't have access to a poster tube. I would be careful with hamsters that chew though, as it is a silvery material inside, but I know of lots of people who use them without hammy bothering

Re: three DIY toys to make at home
i use a pringle tube for porridge and he has chewed it a bit although he prefers destoying a cardboard box.
I would love to see a slideshow on making hammocks.
I have fleece and eyelets to make some but i just dunno how to go about it!

Sorry, I've not been in the right frame of mind to be doing crafty stuff at the minute. I have crocheted one, and a friend has donated a prototype hammock to see if it will 'work' in the cambridges.
I will get around to it, sorry

Re: three DIY toys to make at home
For the hammock I've read a thread on another fourm and it said to cut a triangle out of a some thick material and cut small holes in each corner. in the holes tie string to each one (what ever lenghth you want it to be) get 3 saftey pins tie the other ends of the strings to it and clip it to the cage... Tahdah!! sorry if that made no sense I'm not the best at instructions and spelling :L hope I helped

Re: three DIY toys to make at home
Im always making hammocks. I use the clips from the broken bought ones, get a tea towel, fold it in half and just sew together all the sides with the clips. Just a square withclips at each corner, works a treat x
