Popsicle stick ideas?
Do any of you have any ideas for popsicle stick DIYs for a natural hamster cage? It is for a dwarf, and I wish to create a hamsterscape for them I do not yet have a new hamster, so I do not know if they will chew the sticks, but if they do, I will remove it immediately.

I would like to do some popsicle stick crafts for Ivy as well. Do you know if it is safe to use hot glue?

Newbie here, with a hamster that chews everything - why would you remove it for a hamster that chews? Is it the glue or the sticks themselves? I’ve just bought a box of 1000 sticks to make stuff with so hoping it’s not the sticks 🤦🏼*♀️

Oh cool, so if I use flour and water mix it’ll be fine? Also I’ve read that not toxic hot glue is fine (but guess that’s for non chewers too?)

Flour and water glue would be one of the safest options. It wouldn't be harmful to ingest unlike storebought glues - even so called "non toxic" glues should not be ingested including Elmer's and "non toxic" hot glue.

Awesome! Thanks for the response. I had a not so great feeling about using glue in her cage. Ivy thinks she should chew everything or pile it in her nest.....so cute!

Just keep an eye on anything you make with flour & water glue as it can go mouldy if it gets damp & would then need to be removed.

Hi i have attached some pictures of a tunnel and a platform with ladder I have just made for one of my hamsters out of lolly sticks. I'm sure you can be more creative but this is what I have come up with so far!
