I will try ErinsAnimals again where hamster knowledge and practical advice is exceptional. I've been saving alsorts of wooden blocks, sticks and boxes so have no perhaps Daisy*** will have another new place of her own if I'm successful...hammy toes crossed.

Just whipped up another hide! For this one I tried out using balsa wood- I love it!

The only tutorial of hers I've used has been for the donuts, lol.

These are great! One of the things I love about having a hamster is how it's gotten me back into crafting. Did you use plasticote for the paint?

One of her recent videos is on a cake, and it was new when you posted the picture. It looked very similar to the one she made. Did you get inspiration from somone else?

No, I used non-toxic child's paint, which is safe if your hamster isn't a big chewer.

Oh, just searched for it and found it, it's from 11 months ago. I WISH I had used that tutorial, hers looks much better than mine, haha! I thought of mine trying to think of a simple but unique shape I could use the balsa wood for
