Enough Ventalation?
I just finished Piper's DIY cage today and wondered, is this enough ventalation?
Thanks!

Re: Enough Ventalation?
Do you have a photo of the whole cage? The ventilation holes look to be a bit small and not spread out too much, which could potentially cause issues. However, it's sort of tough to tell from just these photos, so a full cage photo would help

Re: Enough Ventalation?
As drago said, picture of the whole cage would really help.
Unfortunately those holes look like they don't really offer very good ventilation. But I haven't seen the whole cage so I don't know if there's more ventilation openings somewhere else

Re: Enough Ventalation?
This is a picture of while it was still in progress, the top has holes on the left side now and the top is a lid, with wire. The cages also are lined up now so the strip of ventalation making the cages not lay lined up is gone and replaced with the holes. I'll get a better picture in the morning, if this one isn't good enough.

Re: Enough Ventalation?
It really doesn't look like enough to me, I think those holes would need to be a fair bit bigger & there really won't be much in the way of air flow in the lower area at all as far as I can tell.
Using vertical tubes really isn't a good idea either, it should at least be at an angle.

Re: Enough Ventalation?
When I made my DIY cage, I added 4 round vents on each side for air flow through the cage. I also have a 4" high section at the back of the cage to help with ventilation. I live in FL & it can pretty warm here.
Here you can see both the vents and the mesh:

Re: Enough Ventalation?
Thanks! I just drilled in two holes and am now in the process of putting on the wireing to prevent escapes!
