Industrial strength velcro would work,if not potentially better than a bottle holder which would be climbable for hamsters and a risk for escaping or injury(or eating plastic from tank rims and such).Try and make it where only the spout can be reached to avoid bottle climbing and chewing as much as possible.

Do they sell wire feeders for wild birds? If you find one that the hamster bottle will fit in. You could adapt it to hang from the tank lid.

Two suction cups with a paper clip or wire wrapped around the little bobble and made into a hook. Then put an elastic band around the bottle tight. The the hooks go onto the elastic band.

There are bottle stands available to buy of you may be able to make one.

Just wanted to add my oohs and aahs over the finished habitat. You and your father should be very proud of yourselves as that cage is gorgeous, sturdy and will be easy to maintain. It was very good that you were flexible in the construction design because that wire shelving you ended up choosing for the lid will not only provide excellent air circulation but will enable you to hang some fun items to dangle down for your ham to play with. I have a mesh lid on my bin cage and suspend wood/coconut bird toys for my Syrian ham to chew on. Again, a great job and I hope your little guy is appreciating the effort
