Can anyone recommend a product that treats wood

Hello all

I've just built a wooden hammy cage but it needs treating. Does anyone recommened any product or just leave it?

Please also post pictures of the products if possible, so I know I get the correct one.

Most people including myself use Plastikote Fast Dry Enamel it comes in all different colours OR clear and it is child safe. I've never heard of any bad things happening from using this paint. It coats wood perfectly, I've used it on Pikachus wooden wheel.

I did paint where she wont chew (on the inside) though as I'm a paranoid fool :P
