Default Everyones bin cages!!

I foresee an aweful lot of bin cage posts going up in here so I thought that a post to see them all would be a great idea!

This is mine, it looks a little small but it suits my robo biscuit as he doesn't seem to like big spaces:

It is 18L, there is mesh on the lid which is held on by cable ties tightly fastened:

I attatched the water bottle nicely to the inside. I used a long cable tie for this as well as the bit of wire which comes with the bottle:

Biscuit loves his pink elephant to sleep in so I haven't found the need to put in one of my home-grown beds yet! He has more toys but I took them out so that you can see inside a bit better.

I'm currently making one in the same fashion however it is in a 50L tub. These are both 'Really Useful Tubs' which I have found to be strong and safe!

I love them! Honestly, I'd never been a fan on bin cages, until I joined her and actually saw some. They really do look great and its something I plan to try someday!

it has loads more holes in than the picture, my camera is really bad. they also have more toys too

I think the boxes are cystle clear and only cost about £7, I used a jigsaw to cut out a hole to put the rotastak bottle in, I did this mainly as I can when ever I want to add extra bits with tubes.

the holes are small and many, I made them small to prevent my hamsters from chewing the plastic its worked.

it's about the same sixe as a gabber each a bit loanger, and like foreverhamsters cages, they are stackable!

I do have more photos somewhere if you want to see them.

Sarahdal, that is a lovely cage, you could potentially put a big second floor in! i have made a big one like that before but haven't used it because im trying to think how i could put in a second level and what to make it out of ?

Attatch a bit of wood or something to the sides to suport the platform. I'm going to be doing this and using the plastic which I cut out of the top as a platform!

Thanks for the lovely comments! I wanted to add another level but I wasn't sure how, so until I could figure it out I thought I'd make the substrate really deep (it's about 5" at its deepest!) and cover the surface with tubes (I've now added an egg box) so the boys had lots of space.

It's also very cute to pull the bin out over the table edge a wee bit, carefully, and see the hamster feet and tummies from underneath when they've burrowed right to the bottom!

How would you attach the pieces of wood to support another level?
