UK Pet Safe Paint?
I know this has probably been asked before but can anyone suggest a cheap pet safe paint that can be bought in the UK? I want to paint the lid of my Detolf but don't want to use just anything in case he manages to chew it. I also don't want to spend a heap of money for something I'm not going to use much of and honestly it's just so the lid matches everything else, I don't need anything super high quality. I'd appriciate suggestions of specific paints that I could buy that would be safe if my little fluff monster chews it

Re: UK Pet Safe Paint?
I've heard that the Cuprinol paints are safe and come in a variety of colours. They make different types so I'm unsure as to exactly which are safe but I know the garden shades one is.

That or water based plastikote which is what most people use, I think you can get in places like B&Q or buy online.

Re: UK Pet Safe Paint?
The water based plastikote covers quite well. I used about half a pot to do two coats on my wood wheel. It could take a few pots but they have some nice colours.

Re: UK Pet Safe Paint?
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'm off to Homebase tomorrow to buy the wood for the lid so I'll keep an eye out for Cuprinol and Water based Palstikote. I may in the end not bother but I think the setup looks nice so it would be a pity not to paint the lid to match. I know if I don't do it before I put Spike in it'll just never get done
