Question Pet safe paint?

Hey HC!!!
So, I almost completed Cupcake's new wooden house (pictures will be posted soon) but I also wanted to cover it with a coat of pet safe paint to make it easier to clean. Now my question is, what qualifies as a pet safe paint?! I've been on the internet for the past 2 hours I think and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
I was wondering if any of you have used pet-safe paint and also what to look for in the ingredients used in the paint?!

Thank you

I was about to list examples but they'd be UK examples so...

The basic things to look for are "waterproof when dry" and "non-toxic" (when dry).

As long as its non-toxic it'll be ok for the ham, and a long as its waterproof it'll make it easier to clean.

No problem, good luck.
I remember how paranoid I was about buying the first lot we needed so asking this really isn't that bad. In a thread about "this paint is ok right?" I still had to ask "so specifically this type of this paint?" lol
Felt rather silly but it made sure we had the right stuff so it worked out ok. Since then we've learnt and got a completely different paint for other hamster uses anyway.

I did find this (and it fits both your requirements of non-toxic and waterproof):
http://www.texasart.com/crafts/decor...tio-paint.html

It's craft paint so it comes in small bottles and is under $2!

plastikote comes in different colours... I would also say anything that's sold as a child friendly paint would be hammy safe.

Apple Barrel paints are non-toxic. I use those. I wouldn't call them waterproof though. I have a spray can of sealant or I can use Mod Podge, but that requires lots of costs and it's sticky to work with.
