The main improvement I'd suggest would be to have half as many levels with twice the floor size. Hamsters are not really gifted climbers and when the hamster gets older it might not be able to manage the stairs/ramps anymore.

Also, you really want the hamster to be able to run several times its body length on one floor without having to climb. It's like the difference between having a ballroom all in one go or having a stairwell with many floors and only a broom closet on every floor.

I was just about to mirror what Feldhamster said. The first thing I noticed was it`s height. Hamsters don`t particularly require height as they are ground dwellers and burrowers. It seems to be a mis-conception that two or three storey cages are what hamsters need, what they actually need is a lot more floor space to race around in with a few added low level shelves with ramps, which is why many of us advocate large perspex tanks and cages now rather than the older style cramped stacking cages.

Zoozone 2 type caging and Detolf display cabinets are slowly making ground these days and are really what hamsters need.
