Hamster magazine
Is anyone interested in making a magazine about hamsters with me especially for HC members, because I personally love reading mags and really want to try making one. I reckon we could have about 10 people making it (including me!) I just thought it might be quite fun! We could use applications like Microsoft Publisher and word, and we could post it to other HC members??? If anyone is interested please PM me or just simply reply in this thread!
Thanks,
Charlottington-K xxx

Re: Hamster magazine
Don't feel stupid, i would have been in if i wasn't so busy, and had microsoft programmes on my laptop which i don't.
I think it may work better as an e-magazine if i'm honest though, or could it be set up on a website, then updated monthly or so.
I'll happily help out as and when i can, just don't have huge amounts of time

Re: Hamster magazine
I'm not sure how this would work out really but I think it is best if you act as Editor yourself and rather than asking people to work on it ask for contributions the you put it all together in your own style and format. Could you keep all exchanges of ideas etc to PM and then post it when completed as making arrangements via the boards tends to get complicated!
Have fun

Re: Hamster magazine
I think it's a great idea but just don't have the time.
But I bet if you asked for articles from people you'd get some interest.
Article ideas:
-cage set up-what to consider, ideas
-homemade toys
-making your own hamster food-how to
-day/night in the life of a hamster
-taming success stories
-funny hamster stories

Re: Hamster magazine
Look through some magazines you might have and study the format.
You may want to include things like 'ask the expert' questions and answers, puzzles like crosswords or wordsearches, readers pets (photos with profiles), Poems, 'special topic of the week', competitions etc
You don't want to put everything in the first issue remember!
