Default A little makeover of Gryzek's wire cage

I've made a little makeover of my dwarf hamster's cage

Before:

After:

"tunnel":

There's more wood instead plastic in the cage now: a house, a box for sand, two ladders, "a tunnel" and floors.

All those wooden things I've made myself of sheets of plywood and matches. That tunnel thing is made of plywood too and "dowels" and strong thread.

Ooh, I've been meaning to make some toys etc for my hammies as their cages are a bit bare but I'm not sure how to go about it. I don't suppose you could put some more pics up of them? Dw if it's too much trouble

Thankyou <3
They're very clever! Good idea with the matches as a ladder.

I love the DIY section of the forum! I think its great how it inspires us to constantly work out how to improve our hammies cage. It looks great and he's got loads more room to explore now with that extra level!

Thank you That makeover took me much time and it wasn't easy for me to saw that plywood. However, watching happier hammy while he's running in his bigger cage is the best reward I could ever get for my work.
