Coloured Lollipop sticks
Quick question, are kids craft coloured lollipop sticks ok to use to make stuff for my hamsters out of or would they be toxic?

Re: Coloured Lollipop sticks
I wouldn't use coloured ones. I had a pack and I made some ham toys but used them for outside the cage because the dye rubbed off onto things very easily and it might of been toxic.

I will probably stick to plain, it probably looks better in the cage

Re: Coloured Lollipop sticks
Probably a good idea, just to be on the safe side cos sods law says they'll develop a chewing habit as soon as you put the in the cage hehe.

Re: Coloured Lollipop sticks
Last time I used them in art, any time they got wet with glue or something, the colour would run. Maybe best to use plain sticks to save the risk of coming home to a rainbow coloured hamster.

Re: Coloured Lollipop sticks
There are some DIY creations with a water-based paint used to give some color:
Pravandi's Decoration Housing
Not sure what type it is, but you might want to ask Pravandi. Maybe it's food coloring.
