Haha. Well it's usually because tubes are quite slidy and dwarves have furry paws which aren't so good for gripping.

You could use a cardboard box like this: Household items as toys

I made one out of a shoebox... but I'm not sure I like it. I'm worried cuz it doesn't fit right and I worry about him catching his paw on the side.
