Default Candle Making

Anyone here make their own candles? I've made a lot of basic rolled candles using beeswax sheets but I would love to make 'proper' candles one day.

I fell in love with these candles that someone on Etsy has made -

They are just amazing, truly amazing.

i've not made proper candles by dipping or dripping in years..... now i really want to

I used to love it, and enjoyed making different shaped candles and such, though i never got on with the moulded candles, and so mine always looked far from perfect

They are gorgeous though! would love to make them!

Many years ago I got my OH a candle making kit. We made loads of our own and they were great fun. I think its possibly more sophisticated now then it was then but they did look quite good when finished. The ones in the picture look good enought to eat.

I made some at camp once. I think it was a school camp trip. We put wicks onto a stick and rose and dropped them into a pot of molten wax until there was enough on the wicks to be deemed a candle. However, there is an art to it and mine ended up all malformed and lumpy because I didn't have a skilled enough hand.

Those in the pictures look so nice though, the textures and colors are just lovely.
