Re: Everything Zen
Just catching up with this thread (really late I know) She's such a cute little one! I just love how mouse like chineseys look. I'm looking into getting a Chinese hamster of my own, perhaps in the summer

Re: Everything Zen
She's certainly loving that millet.
I think millet is great... keeps them occupied and out of trouble for a while.

Re: Everything Zen
Thanks guys
It is a lot of millet lol! She does enjoy it but doesn't normally go quite so crazy for it & I was wondering if i'd given her too much but then I'd rather she work for it than just have it served up in her mix!
She must really like the canary seed ones too, I've never seen her do anything with them but they always mysteriously end up in her sand bath, they are quite round & bristly & in my over active imagination I have visions of her sat in the bath using it as a back brush
She was so sweet this morning, I'm sure she understands every word I say, they all had a chickpea last night, quite a rare treat & Zen hadn't eaten hers so I asked if she hadn't liked it & she immediately perched on the edge of her bowl picked it up in her little paws & had a good munch, must have been saving it for later

Re: Everything Zen
Nice to Zen again, I've missed her! I miss them all though especially Tinwë
Looks like she's having such a great time with the millet spray. It's something I haven't tried yet but seeing it in Ruby's setup for her new little man and now seeing Zen enjoying it so much I think my boys would love it too
They are funny with new things, they like to have a good sniff and nosey at them. I once found pictures that Boris had taken on my phone when I'd put it down and he walked over it lol.
I had to google canary seeds to see what they looked like and I can so see why you would have that image of Zen in her bath with her back brush

Re: Everything Zen
I was going to say that she's a busy hamster and I'm realized that that was what I said in my last post in this thread, so, she definitely is a busy busy hamster
I also was wondering about your hams. The other day I was taking a walk and I remember Zylvan and his settling problems.

Re: Everything Zen
Thanks BP & Hamsterita
lol! @ Boris the budding camera man! Zen did manage to get a close up of her bum but that's all so far.....
I know I've been really useless about taking photos & doing updates for a while now, I will definitely try to rectify things!
Tinwë is both lazy (likes his bed!) & still a bit camera shy but I'll do my best with him, Zylvan is doing much better now so hopefully I can get a decent photo of him too soon.
I'm sure the boys would enjoy the millet BP, none of mine are that mad on the foxtail millet but they do enjoy all the others except dari but my little Ziggy used to love that so maybe worth a try too.

Re: Everything Zen
Aww glad to hear Tinwë & Zylvan are doing well
I got some red dari, not the spray just the seeds but they don't seem that fussed with it. They seemed to like it to begin with but if I put some in nowadays it seems to sit there for days (or until I throw it away in Boris's case lol). The hamster shopping list grows ever longer lol.
