Converted to Chinese
I wasn't a fan of Chinese hamsters but after having my first Chinese cuddly today with my nieces hamster I now like them just as much as the other species.
One day I will have a Chinese hamster.

Re: Converted to Chinese
Chinese Hamsters really are lovely and are packed full of character.
When I got my first Chineseys a few years ago I actually set out to buy a pair of Russian hamsters but as soon as I set eyes on the Chinese Hamster, that was it and to this day they remain my favourite species of hamster.
Hopefully you'll experience the joy of owning one at some point.

Re: Converted to Chinese
They are so addictive, once you get the bug there's no going back

Re: Converted to Chinese
Unfortunately the only pet shop near me doesn't sell Chinese anymore. My neice got hers last year and then they stopped selling them.
I will have to keep an eye out for a rescue ham in my local area.

Re: Converted to Chinese
I know they are quite rare now & I've been very lucky to find a shop that still sells them but in your part of the world you're not too far to sign up for a breeders waiting list or visit a ham show.

Re: Converted to Chinese
I'm still going to get a winter white, Campbell's, dwarf hybrid or robo next though. Tuffyfluff is the nearest breeder to me I think and they do breed dwarves.
