Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Cypher, you can ramble on as much as you like, I'm so happy the black out curtains worked.
I find with the syrians I've had over the years that they sleep more in the winter and less in the summer, Harvey's been leaving his house entrance unblocked.
Harvey was up around 5am running in his wheel.

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Thanks Lizzy.
Whisper does get up a lot earlier & go to bed later than Zeki which is nice but she still sleeps more in summer, even my russians did but they would get up on & off during the day so I got a lot more ham time in my day.

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
What a good investment the curtains were! Good thinking. If that has solved the timing with Zeki then it must feel so good to see so much of him now!
You know the problem here with Mocho. Last 2 or 3 nights he has been waiting for me at feeding time so I could not resist giving him his veg treat myself. Result? Off to bed with it and nothing would coax him out again! I know he is active at night but interaction is not top of his agenda!

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Oh Mocho! He doesn't know how lucky he is silly boy, he could show a little more appreciation when he's so spoilt with lovely things!
Only time will tell I guess if the curtains are going to work long term, fingers crossed! It will be lovely if I do get to spend more time with him now, what surprised me most was how keen & cheeky he was, it was almost as though he's been taming himself while I slept lol!
I must admit one thing I really appreciate about having more than one ham is that usually at least someone is feeling sociable!

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Wow the curtains sound great!
My Sweep gets up at like 1am usually but the past few nights it's been around 11pm - last night was 10pm!! But then he stays up til about 7 or 8am!

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
How have I completely missed this tread? I randomly read your signature and saw 'Zeki' and I was like... wait... what? When?
What a lovely little guy Zeki is! Super charming and he has a look that just melts whoever comes close to him (: I have spent all morning reading both this and Whisper's thread, very soothing and cheering ahaha (now that i have to pick up kiki from the vet in a few hours after getting a lump/abscess inspected).
Keep us updated, the tiny man is a natural model!

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Thanks Penguin
He's a sneaky little guy hiding away unnoticed lol!
I am seeing a little more of him now so I'll have to try & get some more photos, he still melts my heart every time I look at him & I think he knows it
I hope it's good news at the vet when you pick Kiki up, fingers crossed for you.

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Just popped onto HC and catching up with Zeki's thread....(we're still in Cyprus, the wedding was amazing)
So glad the curtains are doing the trick! And must be so lovely to have some 1:1 time, let's hope it continues and we get to see some more pics of the beautiful Zeki. x
