Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
So Izzy's Silent Spinner drives me crazy with the noise at night. Then I remembered that I have a Silent Runner in the closet. So she has the 9 in Silent Runner & she is happy!
I cut her bedding back & gave her a food dish so we are interacting more now. She's eating seeds from my hand w/o biting for the most part. She is getting a better life as time goes on. Guess it's a learning experience with each hamster being unique.

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
I just thought I'd let people know that Izzy is dying. She wasn't on the wheel when she normally is, so I turned on the light & she was very hunched over & couldn't eat or drink. I put a bowl of water in the cage. I checked her 2x's today & she's still alive. Expect she'll be gone soon. I've had her from Easter 2016 - Easter 2017

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
Does she seem wobbly at all or sunken in,if not otherwise disorientated? The way you're describing does make me think it could be dehydration.Luckily that's not difficult to work with, but it would mean having to hand feed her and also give her water by hand. It's something that takes a lot of vigilance and dedication to get through, but if that is the case it's worth at least trying to see if she can get better.
