Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
She is so adorable, especially the picture of her filling up her pouches. Looks like she tidy a girl keeping her food in her sand bath - she can wash and eat at the same time!

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
Her cage didn't seem very dirty or smelly but I wanted to clean to make sure all is well under the bedding. Now I know that I can stretch the cage cleanings out to maybe once every 6-8 weeks. I forgot to smell her nest bedding, next maybe in a week I'll change her nest too?

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
That must seem like a feast to her, it's bigger than she is!
Did she try to carry it off & hide it?

Lol! That sounds about right.
My two will bury things that they can't carry off but want to hide as well.

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
They are so cute! I put my hand in her tank with some seeds last night so she had to put both front feet on my hands to get to the seeds. She took the seeds and gently moved away with no biting.

I love it when they do that.
They can be quite gentle at times. My youngest Chinesey, Jessie normally does everything at top speed but when it comes to taking seeds she's so gentle and polite.

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
Then maybe things are progressing with Izzy? She didn't seem to mind the cage clean? She comes out when I call her for sunflower seeds & now she's bringing her whole body above the bedding around 9:00pm. That's a big step for her to feel safe being exposed on the bedding instead of just her head popping up
I thought it was definitely a hopeless case but she does seem to enjoy some interaction
