She's still going to the vets anyway as I need a second opinion on her teeth so I'll be mentioning it to them to see what they think could have caused it.

I just hope she's a good girl for the vet.

Thankfully we were able to see the same vet that I've seen most of the time with our Chineseys and she's very good with them. May herself was an angel and didn't squirm too much and the vet was able to have a look at her properly.

Her teeth are fine but her gums were looking quite sore and bulgy so she's got a prescription for Baytril to mix with her drinking water. However if it doesn't reduce the swelling then it'll be because of a tumour and there's not a lot else that can be done other than keep her comfortable and allow her to enjoy whatever time she has left.

At the moment I'm keeping everything crossed that the Baytril works for her.

I had an uneasy feeling when I saw that lump the other day and there was a nagging at the back of my mind that told me that even though I couldn't see it on Saturday morning, she still needed to see someone.

It's left me feeling a bit emotional today :'(

She's being quite good at taking her medicine so far so I'm hoping that it'll work and I'll see some signs of improvement soon.

Yesterday I had her out at playtime and she just wanted me to play with her and with a face like hers, how could I resist...
