He wasn't sure what to make of that wheel. The first time he stood on it and it moved, he got a bit scared and ran away.

I think because his old wheel had been quite stiff, he wasn't expecting it to move so easily.

Awww bless! She definitely seems curious about it! What did she make of the bell? It really seemed to annoy mine lol! I ended up taking it off.

She was a bit surprised when she first knocked it and it made a sound but after she thought about it she seemed to like it as she kept bashing it to make it sound again.

Thankfully she doesn't live in my bedroom so it's not going to annoy me too much.

I went to a certain pet shop chain today and saw some lovely Syrians, a few Roborovski's and a few Hybrids. One of the Hybrids looked a lot like Sooty but still had the darker colouring that Sooty had when we first got her.

I also saw my friend who had been my hamster sitter for several years when Meat and Stitch were alive. She said that she was sorry to hear about Meat but he'd lived a lot longer than most hamster she'd heard of. Her mum asked me if I'd be getting another one soon. I've been asked this so many times already since Meat went over the bridge almost as if Meat could be replaced.

I will be getting another hamster at some point but at the moment I think May deserves a little bit of my undivided attentions. Anyway, here's my spoilt little princess just before I cleaned her cage out...

That shot of May is just gorgeous! I sooooo love their little pink noses

I'm sure May will enjoy some undivided attention for a while, it'll give you a chance to really get to know her now & bond even more.
I know what you mean about the way people ask if you're getting another hamster, Meat could never be replaced but I'm sure you'll know when the time is right to give another little one a loving home.
