Yeah I just did a quick google of the wet tail thing and a couple of hits brought me up with a 'maybe' answer however it seems the cause of this is that many vets have simply misdiagnosed a case of diarrhoea as wet tail in dwarf hamsters and so there is a bit of belief that they can suffer from it lots of a fair few modal auxiliaries are used when the topic is discussed! I'd read that genetically they are more like mice/rats with their slender body, longer tail and longer life span. I know that they technically aren't dwarf hamsters but I can see why they are often put in that category. I had already agreed that more toys were needed
