Default Distressed girl

My Chinese girl Mi-Lan is very lethargic and off her food and seems to be in some distress.

She was fine two nights ago but didn't eat very much yesterday and has really deteriorated today.

As it is Saturday night, there isn't much I can do at the moment and, obviously, I am very concerned. I don't want her to be in any pain. I do have some baytril but am loathe to give her even a miniscule amount as the dosages are specific and I don't know if there is anything wrong with her kidneys.

She is my first Chinese hamster, she is two this month and is usually very lively and friendly.

Anyone with more experience of Chinese hams have any suggestions?

I replied to your post in the Health section sammy. I do hope she pulls through from whatever is ailing her, poor girl. x

Hope she gets well soon. If I were you I would take her to the vets and explain the circumstances they are the experts. The vet can then make the decision how to treat her! Hope I Helped

Hi, have you checked her teeth? They might be to long or she may have an abscess. I've got two Chinese and whenever they have seemed a bit down or off their food it's been due to these things. You will find as they get older they can have problems with keeping their teeth trim. My guys have there's trimmed regularly at the vets now that they are older. I'd say definitely get your little one checked out
