Re: Eric!
He does RH! He spent a good 15 minutes running about in my jammy top! Must be cosy and warm for them haha.

Re: Eric!
Just had to share this video of Eric eating. I love the way he perches on his bowl! I love it when he pops out to say hello before work in the morning

Re: Eric!
Thanks Ilovehamsters and RH!
He seems fully back to his normal self after his wee off night, and he's cheekier than ever

Re: Eric!
Glad to hear it. Chinese hamsters are usually healthy and long lived, a bit like robos. But if they do feel off colour, they usually show it by being slow and having half closed eyes and basically look unwell. But having had a female myself, I lost her too soon and she was a darling wee thing. They have such character Chinese hamsters and that mouse-like ability that gets them into trouble! x

Re: Eric!
I've not updated on my little shy guy in a while!
Eric's doing fantastic. He's (touch wood) healthy as a little horse and gaining confidence every day. He even decides to come out for cuddles and likes a little lie down amongst my hair
He's truly the lowest maintenance pet in the world. Begs no attention, only wants fresh food, water, a clean wheel and saucer, and nice cosy nests. He'll come out every few nights, although he gets the opportunity every day, but he mostly declines. But when he does come out he's no longer the terrified little skittish one. He takes his time, investigates things, has a rest. He just seems comfortable.
He's a little tiny gem

Re: Eric!
What a wee star Eric is. Typical Chinese. Not in your face but happy to oblige on his terms! x

Re: Eric!
He really is a little star just so happy plodding away doing his own thing. But will give snuggles every once in a while, to keep me happy.
They're such a wonderful wee species!

Re: Eric!
They sure are. Very different in my view from your typical `dwarf` hamster because I see them more as mice with short tails! x
