I am afraid I am not much help either. I had two chinese girls, Twiggy and Twyla, and they both have since passed onto the Rainbow Bridge. I enjoyed every minute of having them!

Oh, I found this picture of Twiggy I had on my photobucket. It was taken around Christmas time, if you couldn't tell. lol

Re: I want a chinese hamster - convince me not to lol
This might help....
My Chinese hamster sleeps where she wees, which is the karlie tunnel system, so she isnt the nicest smelling thing (she uses her toilet as a food store) and she does like to coat her wheel with poops
But she is amazingly cute, with those big black eyes, little tail and stinky smell.
Btw last night she got lost in my dressing gown arm, the little darling left a few poops stuck to me.

I can't convince you not to get one
Only thing I will say is that they are very shy and like to hide (but are very cute and when out are lovely to have cuddle up to you and funny when they cling on to you and run up your arm.
One of mine did escape for around 4 days and cause me great stress but i found him no worse for wear and he is now happily back in his cage and hasn't escaped since.
The one on the cave and on my arm is Yin (the escapee) and the one on my hand is his brother Yang.

Re: I want a chinese hamster - convince me not to lol
As you can probably tell, my two girls enjoy curling up somewhere comfortable & letting the world go by...
I always feel sorry for the boys though, I see quite a few in the adoption centres. It's not their fault they have big particulars! My next Chinese will definitely be a rescue boy.
