I've now had to split my liiter down even more we now have one pair and 3 singles

unfortunately chinese are terrible with each other, i usually have to split up the litter at 3months(they have already been put into single sex groups 2 months prior to this) however i sold a pair of females to a friend over 8 months ago and they still snuggle up together in the same cage at almost 10 months old!

Sorry to hear you have had to split them but better this way than lots of injuries and vet bills. Unfortunatly from reading the boards, books and advice from people chinese just do not like each other they are better with their owners then they are with each other.

Forever hamsters you get your exceptions I agree with you, we kept 2 syrian brothers together that we bred and they lived all their lives together and died 3 days apart.

There are exceptions with everything.
