I was wondering if Chinese Hamsters are more smelly compared to dwarves(campbells or ww)? I am thinking about getting a Chinese

I think male chinese hams can be but not 100% sure.

I own a male chinese hamster and he smells rather bad.
I have a syrian now and previously had a russian dwarf, he definately smells a lot more than either species.
His wheel and house needs to be cleaned every two days because he pees on them and they both smell terrible!

I have 19 Chinese hamsters and don't find either males or females smell. The only time I had problems was when I used plastic houses or over cleaned their wheels.

I've one chinese female and she smells worse that my six male syrians put together.
